Tooling For Criterion Boring Head

Can anyone confirm how the little dial thingy works???
I don't trust my dials so I always put an indicator on the slide when I am adjusting the next cut.

I put an indicator on it. It does in fact read in DIAMETER, not radius. So the internet is again correct.

And now that I have the tool out of the spindle, I can actually see that it says it reads in diameter on the tool! Duh....

Here is some other options for boring larger holes. They were part of the kit that came with a Wohlhaupter boring head. Several different ways to assemble it. There may be more I did not think of.
Very large hole, a stack of bushings can be moved from right to left side as a coarse adjustment on diameter. There was a nut on the left side of the horizontal shaft IIRC.

smaller very deep hole,

lots of holders, bushings etc,

I know it was fairly old because the boring bars mostly used HSS bits and the internal grease had hardened to the consistency of concrete.
