Tool bit holder

I have been using a straight tool bit holder in my lantern post since day one. I was given a couple of angled holders, is there a reason to keep them?

Yes, they are for right and left hand cutting.

And, they allow one to get closer to the chuck, when I still used them, I used the one bent to the right most of the time, using tools that cut to the left.

And the other one is for getting closer to the tailstock.
