Three Jaw Chuck Video

I made a video of my g0752 lathe about rotating the jaws from one position to the other to compare and observe the accuracy of each configuration. I thought somebody might get something out of it, probably me more than anyone, especially if you guys watch it! Remember I'm still a new hobby machinist and I'm most definitely learning as I go, so don't hesitate to help educate me.

My test bar was a simple piece of scrap 3/4" steel from the hardware store.

Hi Jim,
if you start with a precision ground rod to indicate against, you'd get a more accurate indication of the chuck runout.

Steffan Gottswinter on youtube, took a cheap chinese chuck and made it nearly perfect.
a secondary thing he did was to take a couple thousandths off the chuck register, and used an indicator and test bar and a copper tamper to set the chuck run out to near zero
