Threading Tool Holder/insert Recommendations

Any recommendation on toolholders and inserts for threading on the lathe? I'm uncertain about whether to get an on-edge toolholder, e.g. Dorian MTVOR 10-3B-A, using TNMA inserts, or a laydown tool holder, e.g. [URL='http://www.kbctools.com/default.aspx?page=item+detail&itemcode=1-289R-006&catlist=10348&parent=4195']Vardex AL0625-3RH[/URL], using 16ER inserts.

Thoughts?

I use the Dorian style holder and like it a lot. I don't have any experience with a laydown holder so I can't comment on that style. One consideration is the cost of inserts in making your decision.

I got a 10 pack of these, think I gave $10. For them

These are 22er 1/2" ic, I ordered a holder for them , still waiting on that from chi.
