I built this rifle rest for my new .223. I made it from material that I had lying around.
Hopefully the rain will stop and I can try it out.

Terry,
Nice job on the rest, I have never used one but it looks like it will work. What make 223? I have a one of a kind I think 223 from savage. The gun guy I deal with said not to contact savage because they will want it back. It has interchanging barrels 223 up to 300 win. mag. The magazine will take all those, just change barrel, ejectors ect. I only have the 223 barrel and boy is it right on. One of my gunsmiths said to get all the calibers and sell my other guns and just use that one, but I like it the way it is.

Nice job! How much would that have cost if you bought one commercially?

Dave

Terry,
I like the design. What is the function of the 2 side by side knobs nearest the base? No windage adjustment?

Randy

I don't do much shooting off a bench, so mine is a much simpler design.
This and a couple of sand bags, and I'm golden.

No windage adjustment but plenty of elevation! lol. ;D
