The Only Burke #2 On The Interwebs

This is the tool I was thinking about making just a .5" disc with 2 pins 2" apart and a scrap socket pressed in the center.

Now I just need to get the RPM under control because 1400 RPM is way to fast to run an overarm supported tool. I launched a 8 pound piece of steel across the room faster than you can react. Luckily I was standing on the safe side and was the only person in the room. Put a good sized dent in the wall 10 feet away.

I bored both of those holes on the horizontal mill and I was running it at 1400 RPM! I started by trying to use the Youlongdingdong boring bar set but after finding out that those aren't worth the time trying to get them to cut, I switched over to a carbide insert tool from Mesa tool and the chips started flying.

Making chips.....and nice blue ones!
Congratulations!!

Once you get your RPM controllable you will have all kinds of things you can do.
