Tape dispenser

Just finished a quick project. I found an old cast iron tape dispenser in the trash. I had seen a posting on Instructables about a tape dispenser for electrical tape. I tapped the bottom of the cast iron for 4 screws and mounted a board to the bottom. Made a new spindle for the tape role and a new cutter for the end. The original would not cut the electrical tape.

Now lives on my electrical bench and works great.

that would have solved many historic problems of tearing off what I would need, smearing both sticky ends with my dirty fingers then trying unsuccessfully to get that final wrap to adhere to the tape underneath it. . . . .
good idea, nice job. . .
