I use these charts for setting RPM for both drills and turning on manual lathes at work. I thought I'd copy them and share them with you folks.

Find your material to be cut here and find the correct surface footage.
Select one of the three charts for what diameter you're working with
1/4" - 3-1/2"
4" - 11"
12" - 25"
If you're using carbide and have a solid set up, you increase the surface footage for aluminum to 800-1100 sfm, steel to 400-600 sfm and stainless steel to 75 -300 sfm.
Wear safety glasses and be safe.
