Added a cmore to my Para and realized I couldn't rack the slide anymore. So here was my opportunity to make something actually useful with all these toys (I mean tools) I've collected. Used the lathe, 4 jaw chuck, mill, even used my spin indexer to cut the male dovetail. (Although I have a hunch that's not the right way to do that). Well I had a blast and I'm pretty happy how it turned out, although the dovetail could have been longer.
Well really enjoy the sight, and if you haven't guessed I'm brand new at machining. Got a ton of good info here. Thanks.755cebd886f54a2142365a21bc3ce2aa.jpg78d2a6408e9c5e71ad1e1258d1922124.jpg30167cd934846ba799d932b0f30fc266.jpg

You must be shooting without a holster. Because that pin is gonna poke you a lot. Unless you're running a LH holster, whereupon you're doing a 'reach-around' to your handle or a hand-change maneuver.

Otherwise, cool idea. Convenient. I realize it's just in the rough right now, but once you get it all smoothed and polished and rounded, it'll be quite the piece. Kudos!

Nice. I've made several of those for my competition pistols that use red dot sights. Interesting mount on the C-more. I've always mounting mine in the conventional/vertical orientation. Is there a particular reason for the sideways mounting?

Looks like that could be a thumb buster......

They can be, depending on where you locate the 'hook' and how you hold the pistol. Because I use a high hand hold on my pistol, for me the hook has to be above the top of the slide to prevent just that. Also, the hook needs to be just large enough to grab with one finger, otherwise it interferes with my holster and/or body.

This looks like an IPSC or 3 gun pistol. In which cases you have special holsters.

True, but even with the special rigs we use you still don't want a long post sticking you in the side. :)

Damn. Didn't try it in the holster yet. I don't think it sticks out any further than the dot mount though. I'll check it out tomorrow.

Supposed to make the dot closer to the line of the bore.
