Skinner chuck long shot

I have a 12" three jaw chuck that had the standard and reverse jaws. I apologize for not knowing the correct terms.






I only received the standard jaws with the lathe. Is there any possibility of finding the reverse jaw for sale anywhere?

You can try some used machinery dealers, like Lee's Machinery in Ohio. But it will be a long shot.

I would agree that it will be a long shot. I looked for outside jaws for a 5" Union chuck for over 10 years before I finally gave up. In that time, I think I looked at several thousand sets of jaws at a dozen or more used equipment dealers. I was able to find an almost identical chuck with the outside jaws for less money than it would have cost to make a set. The jaws don't interchange from chuck to chuck, so I have to change chucks when going from outside jaws to inside jaws.
