Siezed aluminum piston in an aluminum cylander

I’ve rebuilt a few SU’s, if you can get loose certainly try to make it work. But if it gives you grief it’s time to swap it out.

Ultrasonic cleaners are the bomb for carb rebuilds. Gets all those places you can’t see.

Quick update: I applied PB Blaster to the area and let it sit for a couple of days. I then very gently used an aluminum drift rod and light taps on the frozen part. It moved ever so slithty with each tap. I was able to free it. I have no idea what actually happened, however when it was free I cleaned it and it now moves freely. The key for this was time and a very gentle touch. Thanks all for encouragement. Dan
