You can always give it to someone else who is willing to spend time on it or scrap it for parts and material.

Unless it's known to explode or cause cancer, I doubt anyone here is going to tell you to let it go to rust! ;-)

....and even then we'll just say "careful" or "watch out for that".

I recently acquired a surface grinder simply because it was a good deal and nearby. At first I was wondering if I had been too impulsive, so I started researching surface grinder uses and techniques (look on youtube, start with "Suburban Tool"), Now, am so thankful I got it as they can do many important tasks.
