I've seen two different setups for the bottom die either a single piece of angle iron like a V or 2 pieces of angle withe peak facing up like so ^ ^ was wondering if one has any advantage over the other ???

The single piece of angle iron would be much more prone to deformation spreading if not supported with welded bracing.

If you use the inside of a piece of angle you will have a radius in the bottom die. By welding 2 together you can have a sharp 90*
I made mine by welding 2 pieces of angle like this >< Then I put pieces of flat cut to fit inside the angle for bracing/support ........but I dont have a keyboard for that......

Cheers Phil

I've made mine using the 2 Angle method /\/\
Works very well and can actually go past 90* bends.
I've bent several 1/2"x 2' pieces of flat bar with no problem and it didn't even phase the die.
