Shop Jib Cranes People Have Built

I remember seeing you crane before George and I commented on it. I am going to copy it for another spot in my shed that needs one.

I was wondering who's cranes they where, thanks for updating us. Like Georges I am sure I have seen yours before, was it the Garage journal? As I am a member their as well.

I may have the lightest duty one of all. It's a simple differential hoist I made for lightweight twisted chain. It runs on regular galvanized pipe hanging from my 9-foot ceiling, and spans the area between my lathe and mill so I can lift rotary table, lathe tailstock, vise, etc. I never use it for anything heavier, mostly because I never work on big stuff, and all of my items weigh less than a hundred pounds. It's a convenience and a back saver:
