School me on collets for the Atlas lathe, 3c, 3at,or both?

As far as I know, all of the 3AT collets. 3MT to 3AT closure adapters and draw tubes that Atlas either made or had made were to fit the Atlas spindles. If the 3AT won't quite close when used in a Logan, the draw tube is physically too long and the remedy is quiet simple. If the OD of the draw tube almost fits the spindle bore, make a spacer washer about 1/4" to 3/8" thick with the ID same as that of the spindle.

My guess is that the Logan spindle in slightly shorter that the Atlas one (for no particular reason other than it just is). Other possibilities are that the 3MT spindle nose bore has had a repair reamer run in it too deep. Or that the 3MT to 3AT spindle nose adapter is shorter than normal. Or ???
