got the makita mac700, and came damaged, but was mot impressed with the build.
Next, ordered a Rolaire VT-20tb and could not be happier.
Unit is running at half the speed of every orher compressor, and super quiet.
Has 100% duty cycle, as opposed to all big bore makita with 50% duty cycle.

Rol-air makes good compressors. I've got a 80 gallon (vertical tank two stage compressor) from them. Easily keeps up when I sandblast. In fact it will even shut off from time to time while blasting. Quiet and powerful. Very pleased with it and should last my lifetime with normal maintenance.
 
Rolaire makes a damn good compressor when I ran a framing crew we had 8 nail guns going full blast and never it never let me down.
