reversing rotation on a small brush motor

I am working on a small active milling device for my tool post. when i got ready to mount the motor it turned the wrong way. And so did all the other sewing machine motors that I had. So i figured i would take one apart and see if i could reverse it. It turns out that it was actually easy. Just remove the brush side cover of the motor and then swap the wires that go to the brush holders. thought that maybe this would be a help to someone else. I am going to try to attach a picture, new here wish me luck.

I can't help noticing however that the brushes aren't exactly 90 degrees from the field poles. The motor may have less torque, and spark more, in this direction. But I can't see the shape of the field poles from the photo.
