Unfortunately I have joined the too-long list of members that spend vast amounts of time tethered by a picc line. While the oncologists "reading room" has wifi, it appears to use a dialup backend. Thus, I am seeking hobby related materials in pdf forum. If you have links to any such resources, please post them up. Thnx.

Would PDF compensate for slow download??
Tell me what you need and I'll see what I can do.

Pdf format means I can download them to my tablet here at home for consumption there.

I'm just a beginner with a mill, lathe, and welding. So general machining techniques and such is my goal. While I'm not into gunsmith or clock work, others following later may have a use for them. If it's interesting post it.

Does you phone work as a personal hotspot? I don’t generally use WiFi outside of my own. If out I just turn on the hotspot on my phone and use that.

You could subscribe to a magazine like Model Engineer's Workshop (or Model Engineer). Their app lets you download electronic versions of the magazines and store them locally for later reading.

Randy,

This site itself hosts a huge load of PDF files for download.

The list below should give you plenty of distraction.
All my best wishes with your medical treatments.
Stay strong!

Try these:

Are there any specific requests you might have ??? Other hobbies, interests, etc ???
I'm a bit of a PDF collecting junky, i.e., if I run across something I need or that interests me, I either download the PDF file or make one if not in PDF format.
I ask because I can send some things to you via PM or email, but I don't think it would be allowed to post them here, copy right rules and the like.

Thanks all. I was getting a bit frustrated with Google searches returning few interesting hitsthat all turned into dead links. I knew this site had the machine specific files, which I have and have read for my machines and even a few I considered purchasing. I didn't realize three were other sections. Got enough it should get me through a few sessions.

Alas my data plan is spoken for by the glassy eyed slack jawed Facebook zombies of the house.
