I just had to share raging review about this saw (see what I did there.. Rage 2.. Raging..)..
I LOVE this tool! I had a horizontal band saw and it had the advantage of "start it and walk away", but it was not very accurate and had size limitations; both on what it could cut and as related to shop space.
I sold it and bought the 14" Rage 2 chop saw. This thing will cut anything! It's fast, and is not an abrasive type saw so there is little heat transfer. It's also very accurate.
I've cut a lot of aluminum with it and a some drill rod. Today, I had to cut a 3" long chunk of 1 1/2" diameter 4140 steel bar for a drive shaft coupler I'm making. The cut was accurate, took about 15 seconds, and I could pick up the cut part with bare hands; barely warm.
The blade is as good as new after cutting aluminum, stainless, tool steel, drill rod and the 4140.
Of course I now need to bore a 3/4" hole lengthwise into that 4140 and not really looking forward to that...
