Quill DRO

Has anyone figured out a way to mount a DRO to a 1A or 1B quill? I'm getting so tired of cranking the table to do specific depth boring.

Did you ever figure it out? I can send a picture of how I did my 1D if that helps.

Thanks for the response. No, I moved on to other projects. The problem is *everything* is inside the oil bath head housing on the 1A and 1B. There is nothing external to reference the quill that isn't spinning. The 1D has an external quill stop mechanism, as I recall.
