[Source] Quick Change Mill Tooling, Anyone Made Their Own?

Well, I got seduced by the combination drill and countersink, with its two set screws securing the drill in the holder. I figured "I can make a sleeve to hold the drill I want in that holder." Bought a small assortment. Got home. Fought my way into the blister packs, and found that those set screws Secure the chamfer to the drill. The drill is staked in the holder, no moving it. Well, that was the cheapest solution, the next one'll cost either A LOT more $ or considerable labor. I've still got 24 or those holes to center drill, drill, chamfer and tap. I guess I do have 114 of them done. Those 4-40 1/8 long flat head screws are almost visible, too.

You can buy the individual Tormach component at Littlemachineshop, com.
The er16 collet holders are about $35 each, and a set of collets can be gotten on Ebay or Amazon for about $30.
Your 3/4" R8 collet will work fine, no need to buy another one.

I also added a quick change drawbar using Belleville washers that makes changing tool holders a 2 second job.

Heres a video that shows it in action:
