Question about American Made Benchtop Machines

Just curious as to how many on the forum may use either Sherline and/or Taig lathes and mills for modeling or other small machining tasks? Asking mainly to see if there is enough interest to justify a "child" sub-category for them.

Thanks knudsen. I use mine all the time for smaller parts and some medium sized parts as well. Well built little machines as long as you don't need to hog metal off.

I have a Sherline that I bought to use on clock stuff. Many of the clock guys have them, still others swear by the watchmaker's lathes. The Sherline is a good lathe within its size capacity, and well made in the USA.
