possible blown motor on 9x20 lathe

Is there any chance you could find a new centrifugal switch from a similar motor? I would find a "rewinding" service and ask them. The guys that work in motor rebuilding shops know what will fit on what and who makes motors for dozens of different machines. Worth a try.

the motor appears to be working with no problems, the extra noise was found to be the little jockey wheel requiring a generous squirt of oil.
Another problem solved.
I have shed withdrawal symptoms at the moment as I'm in Melbourne and its cold.

Do they fine you for doing your own electrical or plumbing? Need to go see the judge?
