Nice photo. Dialup guys are not going to like you. Depth of field is right. Lighting is good. Washed out a bit on the face of the dial calipers and the travel indicator on the lathe bed.
Lathe looks very good. Nice shop built steady rest. Disconnect on wall is in off position. Two micrometer stands on headstock. Blue for the feed and thread control levers?
Really the photo is just a snap shot I took today with my cell phone. But I must say, not bad for a cell phone!
That Piston is my ash tray. Came out of the 526 ci alky engine we were running years ago. Its got a few wounds, and had been replaced. But I held on to that piston, it was in the engine when we hit the first 200 mph pass, @ 6.84 sec
Been a great ash tray since 1992, The Lathe is in better shape,
That is a 1941 Sidney Lathe
14X30 Engine Lathe, Built in Sidney Ohio
Swings 17 over the ways, 10 over the saddle
5hp 575v on a VFD, and transformer.
Sid is in pretty nice shape, for a old boy!
