I have watched this thread one and it seems you are all satisfied with just one or two tools. Not so here, all tool purchases are great, no such thing as a wishy washy good buy. ROTFLMBO

my best tool purchase is the one that I need that moment that I happen to have Even if I only use it once (power steering pump puller!) it's earned its keep.

now regrets about tools that I haven't purchase or tools/ materials that I've sold, got plenty of those!

By best tool purchase would have to be all of them. As they where for the job at hand at the time.

I'm with kd4gij on all tools are good. Even broken ones may have second life. But if it had to be just one then I choose the lathe. With can make many others.
