I've got an old (drill) vise from a friend and have given it an overhaul to be useful for another 50 years. It is a quality 5" drill vice that was possible to save by just removing rust and some filing to get smooth operation.
The new paint is similar to the old blue hammer paint. But it was so worn that I repainted it even if many prefer untouched vises. The new paint is covered with a strong 2 component clear paint.
You cant have too many vises, and I only have seven at the moment
I found a spot in the garage where it is possible to put another full height metal frame shelf. So it is a bit like Christmas here today
