Hello Guys
I have picked up this X/Y milling table at the local Busy-Bee for 129.00 bucks on sale.
Seems like every time I get a job just set up on the milling machine, somebody rolls in the door with a simple milling job, and I hate tearing down a set up, or telling a customer I cant do that for you till tomorrow, or worse loosing the job!
This will be my milling attachment for the lathe. Its just in the mock up stages right now, but looks like it should be a easy install. The X/Y table is 5 inches X 12 inches, so should have lots of travel for any Milling jobs Ill do on the lathe.
About the only thing Im doing to the table is flipping it 180, so the X is facing me instead of the wall. So now it looks like yet another trip to Metal Supermarkets for some sturdy plate to mount all this up. The plate in the pics is just for the table to lean on, so I can sort out the heights, and travel.This wont be able to swivel, but if I need that, I have a good selection of vises with swivel bases.
