Note to Self

Yup... I ruined a gear I was machining one time by getting the brush caught between the cutter and part... not just the bristles, the handle wound up going through also.

Been there also. Very efficient way to make short bristle brushes - that way you don’t have to buy two different kinds.
 
Reminds me of this. Wow, can't believe it was from 9 yrs ago. Oldie now but still cracks me up.

Do they sell short bristle acid brushes?


I have been cutting them down as we only get one length.

I like different lengths as you can apply more or less oil on jobs where you don't want to make a mess, or that the excess will fling around.
 
We hired a non-experienced operator to operate our cnc boring mill . He ran a huge brush thru the cutter and was trying to save it franticly ! I let him know I could replace the brush but not his fingers . :rolleyes:
