Looking to buy a set of screw machine bits. Norseman is up by my neck of the woods. Anyone have any experience with them? On par with PTD or Dormer?

I don't know much about current brands, but I do know you will love the screw machine bits. I recommend you get a 135 degree split point quality set. The stiffness along with the split points allows you to start holes on a smooth 90 degree surface without using a center punch or starter drill. They also make perfect starter drills for 118 degree drills just as they are. I just bought some lots of cobalt ones in 1/4" and 3/8" cheap on eBay for just that purpose.

Edit: They are also more useful in the milling machine because of their short length, making most tool changes a much easier task, and having more headroom for taller work. Screw machine bits are time savers and help with accuracy.
