New Toy at work

Just received a new tool in the arsenal at work. Took delivery of a 50watt fiber optic laser on Tuesday and it has been very fun so far.

The students will be using it to mark stamping projects and will be using it to engrave their plastic injection molds.

I have been getting a few of my personal tools marked and it sure does a nice job.

You know, even though that thing has a green tinted peep window, I'd still be tempted to wear some seriously dark sunglasses...

I had a dog tag made for my 4-legged companion and the pet store had a laser machine that engraved the tag. I looked through the peep window for a few moment and there was some serious reflection coming back at me. Mama didn't raise no fool so I didn't gawk at it...

that is pretty sweet. definitely better than those scratch markings on tools
