The PM1236 has a locking screw for the cross slide and the compound. They're not easy to see as they are just set screws. They work fine, but the cross slide's hex socket is a little over-sized, and I was worried that the key was going to strip out sometime when locking down the table as it skips once it's locked. I replaced them with regular hex head screws, and they worked out really well. Turns out that they are M6x1.0 and the stock lengths of 10mm and 20mm were the perfect size. The Cross slide needs the longer screw, and my set screw had a point on it like a grub screw. The compound's screw was flat, so I just left the new one alone. I'm thinking of adding a lever just long enough to tighten without over-doing it.
