Need mentor for Index mill & several lathes in east central Wisconsin

Just acquired my first mill and need some knowledgeable help with it. It's an Index brand, model 40H 3300; really need a good manual and parts guide. :noidea:

I have some info on Index model 40H.

Is 3300 the serial number?

I believe that Wells-Index is still in business, and they can supply a manual and parts if needed. I got a manual, parts and a spindle reground for my Super 55 a few years ago. They are pretty helpful. Good luck.

Thanks much, mhooper, here is what is stamped into the top of the vertical knee way: 40 H 3300

I have been told that this is both the model and serial number with the "40 H" part known as the model and the "3300", part apparently my machine's serial number?? But I am so green on this that I don't know if this information is correct or not. Thanks for any help you can give on it.

Hey, thanks, cjtoombs, I have already contacted the company but haven't yet asked for a manual from them, wanted to try to get a copy first from somebody who has one.
