I am wondering if anyone has purchased, completed and used the Aluminium Radius ball turning tool "KIT" that is offered on E-Bay for $28.00 ??? :) They also make a larger version that is broached for 1/4 inch cutting tool and sells for $45.00 + shipping ( $6.00 =/-) i'm thinking hard about buying the larger one for my project. i was hoping i might get some feedback from thisforum before i commit.
Thanks

sorry there mate have not seen the kit, so don't know what it is about.

I just kept searching Holdridge Radii till I had cash in pocket and a quick enough mouse click.

As I read that eBay listing, I understand that all you get are the two aluminum pieces - no other hardware or materials.

For what it may be worth, I have and use the larger radius turning tool from Little Machine Shop: http://littlemachineshop.com/products/product_view.php?ProductID=2568&category=

- it's the same design, and a complete tool for $140. It's a lightweight tool, but it does nice work and is easy to set up.

I added a positive stop to mine that makes it way easier to use:

Here's all about it, including how I use the tool to make ball handles with no calculating and hardly any measuring:
