As most of you know i got a new job about 3 weeks ago in a stamping plant running a robotic welder. Basically production work with some robotic learning to be a floor leader. Then the tool and die dept was backed up as they needed some dies welded. Well my name was thrown out in a meeting of the minds and i was pulled from my robot and taken to T&D to weld. So long story short i fixed the die and was invited back a few more times for other repairs. Yesterday and today in went in for OT and welded some more. That shop is awsome to say the least. They have 2 huge CNC milling centers that the guy rides on a carraige recutting the dies i weld. I would just love to get my 10L bed on that machine and get it made like new. It prob would take all of 20 minutes once it was indexed in. I will say one thing that shop is the warmest and cleanest i have ever been in. I had a T&D apprenticeship there 34 years ago and quit. Now i wonder if i should have stayed on. Oh well i am back....Bob
