Having not been able to remove this chip cover, I thought maybe someone here might know the answer.
The little screw is easily removed and the cover pieces slide out a few inches and hits a stop. It would be good
to remove it for some periodic housecleaning but so far it evades me. Here's a photo of the chip cover on the mill.

I hope I don't have to remove the table to get it off...:frown:

There seems to be 3 to 4 pieces of this thing in total...

IIRC the center piece has an opening which goes around the Y axis part of the feed nut, which would prevent it from being removed without removing the table. I think there are raised stops on the other sections that keep them in place while allowing movement. Both mills that I've worked on I was removing the table anyway, which isn't really too big of a deal if you have a means to lift it. Hope this helps. Mike

I will look for a stop screw in the rear end and if there isn't one, I will leave it alone. Thanks Mike for the post!

I think you can get to the screw from the bottom, as long as the table it's on has an opening.
