Looking to figure out how to get a mill vise to work with the Maximat 7, since it would need to be mounted, either on the lathe rails, or directly to the X/Y table used for the lathe. All the vises I seem to be finding are for bolting directly onto a table surface.
My other question is about using a mill for something like making a square channel. Since the mill vises are intended to be locked down to the table, and most of them have a swivel option at best (not an X/Y table), then how do you move the stock while milling to do something like making a channel?
Perhaps if I knew more about how the machines are intended to work, it would be easier to shop for the right vise.
