Excellent and AMBITIOUS project.
Beautiful work all around. I mean the planning and design as well as the execution.
I have one concern and two additional questions.
My concern is regarding the engine air cooling setup. Please show pics of the side shrouds installed.
Are you going to instrument the engine temperature at all?
I'm just thinking that I'd rather read "getting too hot" on a gauge than to find out any other way.
Having the front of those cylinders so close to that panel looks scary to me.
Maybe just my ignorance. I hope so.
What bushings did you choose for the rear suspension links?
I'm intrigued by the idea of having it " TITLED AS A 1959 MESSERSCHMITT".
The criteria is "what it sort'a looks like? Or, what the requester wants'ta call it. Or you work for the NC DMV? Or ????

AH YES , THE HEAT MONSTER . THE HONDA 600 MOTOR USES A FAN TO DRAW COOL AIR THROUGH THE MOTOR
INSTEAD OF BLOWING IT . THIS IS GOOD BECAUSE THERE IS NO SHROUDING ON THE INTAKE SIDE .
I DECIDED TO COMPLETELY REDO THEIR SHROUDING . MY DESIGN HAD TWO FANS INSTEAD OF ONE .
EACH OF THE FANS EXHAUSTS AIR OUT THROUGH A REAR WHEEL-WELL THIS ARRANGEMENT MOVES 25% MORE AIR THAN STOCK
COOL AIR IS DRAWN IN FROM UNDER THE CENTER OF THE CAR AND DIRECTED THROUGH A PLENUM ON THE FIREWALL
TO PREVENT RECIRCULATION .
THE SIDE SHROUDS ON THE CYLINDERS SEAL UP THE LEAKS THAT HONDA NEVER ADDRESSED .
THE EXHAUST PIPING IS MADE FROM STAINLESS AND IS JET-HOT CERAMIC COATED INSIDE & OUT TO KEEP UNDERHOOD
TEMPS DOWN .
FINALLY , I HAVE AN OIL COOLER MOUNTED IN THE NOSE OF THE CAR . THESE ENGINES NEEDED THE COOLER ANYWAY
AND I DO INDEED HAVE AN OIL TEMP GAUGE TO KEEP AN EYE ON IT . ( ONE OF TWO EXTRA GAUGES )
THE BUSHINGS ON THE REAR SUSPENSION ARE MADE OF OILLITE BRONZE . EVERY MOVING PART HAS A ZERK FITTING .
THIS MAY GIVE A BIT OF A HARSH RIDE COMPARED TO RUBBER OR URETHANE BUT IT WILL GIVE PRECISE CONTROL
AND IS EASILY REBUILT IF THE TIME EVER COMES .
THE CAR IS TITLED AS A 1959 MESSERSCHMITT BECAUSE THAT IS WHAT I STARTED WITH .
THE TUB IS A RECONSTRUCTION OF A KR-200 CHASSIS AND I DID ORIGINALLY PUT IT TOGETHER AS A 3 WHEELER .
AFTER I HAD THE TITLE FOR THAT CAR CLEARED WITH THE DMV , I WAS AT LIBERTY TO TAKE IT APART
AND REBUILD IT IN THE 4 WHEEL CONFIGURATION . THIS IS WHERE HOT RODS COME FROM .
