I posted an answer to a question on Wednesday to brnbwt's thread on building a lathe.

I can't do anything with your post as it isn't actually in the moderation que. And as to why it should be in the first place, we have had a bug in the system for at least the last couple of years where at random, a post would get flagged as moderated. Even happened to one of the other moderators at least once. But in the past, at least any of us could "fix" it. And I don't recall it ever happening to the same member twice. What you might do is to copy the text of what you wrote and just post it again. If you do that, I or one of the others can just delete the stuck one. That function probably still works.

Turns out that the problem on my end was either a style, browser and/or OS issue. Another moderator running a different style, browser and OS was able to see where to click to fix it.
 
If it helps any, the subject post was from a chrome book while I was on the road. Most of my posts come from this computer using W7.
 
Hmmm. That might have caused it. But if there was going to be a problem caused by a member logging in from a "foreign" machine, one would think that it would have happened at login time. However, next time that it happens to someone, I'll try to remember to check for that scenario.
 
One thing that I forgot to ask: Was that the first post in that particular session (on that Login) that you had made? And did you, without logging out, make another post during that session - one that did not get put into the Moderation Que, and either before or after the post that got flagged?
 
I had set up the chrome book on Tuesday and made three posts, no problem. Then just the one problem post on Wednesday from the same location.

I'm sure you will have to see another occurrence to solve this one.

Ha! I wish that I was sure that one more was all that it would take.
 
While we are not able to replicate this problem since it is already resolved, we believe these moderation issues were due to the Guest Posting add-on. This add-on has since been removed and we have not seen the issue return.
