Hello All,
i love old books, and i especially like old machinery reference manuals and popular mechanics/science magazines.
i don't actively hunt them, but they sure seem to find a way to me somehow:dunno:

I came to find a complete 2nd edition series library of machinist books printed by McGraw Hill.
after thorough inspection, i found they are well used but mostly intact, astonishingly no pencil marks or owners names inscribed anywhere on any of the volumes.:D

there were 6 volumes to the library set in no particular order:
Book One- Tool and Gage Work[Goodrich & Stanley] c1923
Book two- Jigs & Fixtures [Colvin & Haas] c1922
Book three- Punches and Dies [Stanley] c1919
Book four- Working of steel [Colvin & Juthe] c1921
Book five- Machine Tools and Their Operation /Part 1 [Colvin & Stanley] c1922
Book six- Machine Tools and Their operation /part 2 [Colvin & Stanley] c1922

this Ebay find was shipped to my door for an average of 6 bucks a book:biggrin:
here's a picture of the set!

the white smudge on the Punches and Dies book is liquid paper or white paint of some sort-possibly white lead?
thank you for reading and participating!

That is a nice collection Mike. I have the 1923 edition of the Tool and Gage Work book but haven't pursued the others.

Regards
Darrell
