This reference I found elsewhere, but thought it would be useful for us here. Making dials and indexing collars correctly can set apart our projects from just average to premium looking, factory made appearance. The methods described in this document are workable, and yield excellent results. I'd be interested in any member who has ideas to improve these methods, and certainly pictures of any projects where these, or other methods are used.

Same here, Pat. I got spoiled when I worked around NC equipment. You want that engraved? What font? No problem. Wish I had that now. Maybe one of those CNC wood routers could do the job. I have a friend in Houston that does any engraving I need nowadays.
