Hello,

Just curious if anyone has a list of magazines that are dedicated to the home machinist?

Thanks
Perry

Found a list:

Home shop Machinist
Modern machine shop

Home Shop Machinist, Machinist Workshop, Live Steam, Digital Machinist. All produced by same company.

Then there is Model Engine Builder but sadly that is online only now, no print.

That is all I know in USA, more elsewhere I am sure.

cheers

As DoubleeBoy said Machinist Workshop and Home Shop Machinists are good. Only six issues a year, so if you start a project from one of the magazines you will have to wait for the complete article sometimes for a couple of months. :pondering::impatient:

You can go on E-Bay and purchase back issues, sometimes cheap/sometimes pricey, and pick up a whole year at times if you want.

Good magazines!:thumbzup3:

If you go to ebay, advance search larry-the-printer. Best for back issues.

British: Model Engineer & Model Engineers' Workshop - both available as print or digital (www.modelengineer.co.uk)

Australian: Australian Model Engineering (www.ameng.com.au)

Harold Hall was a frequent contributor to Model Engineers' Workshop. He has posted most, if not all, of his material here:

Another great source - albeit not magazines - is the Workshop Practice Series

The usual disclaimers...

All of my machinist reading is from Hobby-Machinist & other forums dedicated to our machine passion. If I spent more time reading, I would have no time to make chips.

Looking for "The Home Shop Machinists" magazine Vol. 29 No. 1 January-February issue.
Anyone know where to find it?
I checked Village Press and Ebay, no luck.
Need the "Upgrading the Atlas 10/12 Taper Attachment- Part 1"
