[Peacemaker]

I just bought a Smithy (Shop Task) 12-22TC machine. I have not been able to find a manual for this machine.
Any help pointing me in the right direction will be greatly appreciated.

I think Shop Task is a separate brand, no relation to Smithy AFAIK
If you can find/contact the importer you might have luck getting a manual

Shop Task appears to have had a name change a while back. I have a 1720XMTC. and found the change a while ago. They are going by Chicago Lathe now. https://www.chicagolathe.com/ when I looked at their site a lot of the older machines didn't appear to have any support.

Is there a Smithy user forum/group you could join? Likely someone in such a group has one and it may even have a manual posted in their Files section.

There are a few documents in our "Shop Task and Shop Master" downloads section, but nothing specifically for the 12-22TC

....and you do need to be a paying member to access downloads.

I don't know if Smithy, ShopTask and/or ShopMaster were related, or maybe resellers of the same import machines.

I poked around on Vintage Machinery and did not see anything there either.

Unfortunately, the ShopMaster USA link in the first post is dead and the top-level domain looks parked.

However there is an email address for ShopTask in reply #6 in that thread.
Maybe that would help?

I continued to poke around here for Smithy manuals and found this post:

It has a link to a Smithy CB-1220XL manual.
Maybe it's similar and useful?
