I got the Sieg SX3 striped down and cleaned ready to re assemble.

What sort of grease do I use on the lead screw?

What oil and grease should I lubricate it with.

I am in Australia.

Greetings,

My advice on any mill is to use oil wherever possible. Grease is a magnet for chips so not my favorite. I know nothing about your mill or how it is made so can't be specific
for your machine, however your owners manual may be of some help to you. You may possibly add your own oiling system if the machine doesn't have one. Pump oilers
are really great if you want to keep a machine well oiled. Look at what provisions the machine has for lubrication and improve on that if necessary. I added a pump oiler to
an old lathe and have been happy with the results. I keep several small oil cans and some rags handy to aid in keeping machines clean and well oiled as well.

I believe that the instructions say to use white lithium grease on the z axis screw (it is protected from any chips and cannot be oiled easily). Re-grease once a year I think is the norm). Use light machine oil on the other screws and way oil on the ways.
