Just finished two leather strap cutters. These are used to cut belts out of full hides of leather. I cast the handles out of bronze. The rest of the parts are stainless. The sliding bar sets the width of the belt to be cut. It holds a box cutter blade at the end. The inch to 1/8 inch marks were milled using a .040" ball end mill. Someone on here had a great post showing how they cut the marks for dials this way. This was my inspiration for making the bars this way. Thanks who ever posted it.

One cuts straps up to 3.5" wide and the other cuts up to 5". They both started out cutting 5" but I broke the 6-32 tap "two times :headache: ". I hate tapping stainless.
