dang thing finally came in yesterday!!!! I'm probably 3/4 done super easy install. Z axis went together pretty easy the X is a little long the next size down was gonna be a little short. Wish I could have went with magnetic that I could have cut to length, it is what it is I guess.

There are a number of postings and you tube videos on cutting glass DRO scales, it may be something to consider, although not for the faint of heart. The other alternative is there are some (relatively inexpensive) slimline scales that are more compact and usually available in 10 mm increments. Glass scales also tend to be longer to account for the limit travel of the head and more bulky end caps.
