Insert Tool Holder For Ball Turner

Guys this week Shars is having a 20% off sale so I want to take advantage of it.I am purchasing a tool holder set with 5/8 shank to use on my Colchester.I also want to purchase 1 insert tool holder to use for my ball turner so I am wondering which one would be the best for this purpose.What I am looking at is this one,wanted to ask ya'll if this would be the best for that purpose?Thanks----kroll

I can't say for sure that it's the "best", but I made a ball turning tool a few years ago and I machined it to take that style of insert and it seems to work well.

the best may be different for different materials.
the DCMT holder pictured will do fine for steels, just go easy on the feed.
the thin tip breaks, it seems, at the wrong time.
a CCMT holder and inserts may also be something to consider, the greater angle of the CCMT tool makes them a bit tougher
