I've owned this machine for some years but due to health problems it has been stored. I'm ready to start getting it ready to use. Any thoughts or info?

what a beast of a hobby machine!
other than the typical lubricate, grease and work by hand as much as possible before putting it under power, i dont know what more you can do. i will say i am not familar to these (other than i know what it looks like). Monarch probably has a manual, maybe specific info on your machine, worth a call. They would might have advise too when starting it up... maybe.

Don't buy any manuals. They are all generic of Monarchs. not specific to your model.

I have a CAA built in 1939. 14" x 30", Serial number is in the 6300's. I don't know if the numbers are specific of the AA's or they only made 1700 lathes from 1939 to 1960.

Shoot me message with an email and I'll see if I can find some of the manuals and info I have.
