I got a Gerstner chest for 30$

After looking at the door closely i saw one of the door pin holes had some type of metal insert for the pin to fit in. As a temporary fix I cut a short piece of .187 dia brass tube from a hobby shop and it fit what was left of the hole perfectly. I just used a little bit of superglue to hold it in as there was not enough wood left to hold it on its own. So now it closes as its supposed to and I didn't really do anything that would damage the box further. And if I ever get the time I could do some type of proper repair but for now it will work which is all I need
