Huxtable Hot Air Engine by Olds Engineering Maryborough Queensland Australia, finally finished the hardwood plinth, making the Bix burner holder with 10mm steel heatsink, brass thumbscrews, brass bolts, brass washers and other accoutrements to make the engine look like a showpiece on its plinth. Just a wonderful running hot air engine, quiet powerful and very very smooth.
Engine features-
Removable Brass Cylinder
1" (25.4 mm) bore and stroke
Ball bearing mounted crankshaft
5½" (140 mm) diameter cast iron flywheel
Cast aluminium base

Great engine. I aspire to do be able to make a "hot air" engine, one of these days. I am on working on my second basic steam engine that will use compressed air (like the 1st one does), at least until I get brave enough to make a boiler.

My skillset doesn't allow me to make something from scratch unfortunately. The Christmas school holidays I'm planning to build a simple wobbler engine with my 10 year old grandson.

Yes, the simple "wobbler" was my 1st, and it runs quite well. I built it from the excellent plans and tutorial on Steve's Workshop" website. It's called "A Simple Oscillating Engine".
