Help id a surface grinder

i know this is a covel grinder, but having trouble id ing the model. mostly im trying to get a weight for it, and any tips on how to lift with an engine hoist?

Its size looks comparable to a Boyar Schultz 6-12 which weighs around 850 pounds,

I'm going to guess a little higher around 1000 - 1100.

From what I can tell it’s a Covel Excel model #7 hand feed grinder. There are 2 #7 grinder manuals on the Vintage Machinery website. The first one down the most looks like yours.

According to the manual it weighs 825 lbs without the wet attachment

I would put that closer to 1200-1600 lbs
Look at that beautiful cast iron base and column

well had to pass, while the sellers neighbor had a large enough tractor to load it, i dont have the ability to unload it, i would guess it was 2000 to 2400 pounds guess ill keep looking

This reminds of an auction, where you know what the number should be, but can't resist bidding it up anyway. Even having read post #44 I'm guessing it was #3000.
